To enroll, a person must be 17 years of age or older. Those students who meet the educational requirement listed below, but are not yet 18 MUST have a guardian signature on enrollment agreement to be eligible to enroll.
Educational Requirement:
A person must have successfully completed high school or have completed a high school equivalency course and provide one of the following at the time of enrollment:
- Copy of Official High School or College Transcript
- Diplomas are unacceptable according to North Carolina Admission Requirements.
- Copy of General Educational Development (GED) transcript, or
- Copy of High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)
Educational Requirement for High School Seniors:
High School Seniors may attend the course prior to graduation if they meet the following standards:
- Must be scheduled to receive his/her high school diploma within six (6) months of the course end date; AND
- High school seniors (or anyone that cannot provide a completed high school/college transcript) that wish to enroll will be required to complete an Ability To Benefit (ATB) exam that is approved by the US Department of Education. An exam invitation and instructions will be provided to the student during the enrollment process. The student must achieve a score that is recognized as meeting GED (General Educational Development) Levels in order to be accepted into the program. If the student does not achieve the required score, admission will not be granted. The ATB exam MUST be completed within 14 days of receiving the exam invitation, or the student’s onboarding status will be canceled and all monies paid will be refunded.
Accelerated Academy requires all students to provide proof of prior education as a precondition for enrollment. To secure their place in the program, students must submit a deposit; however, students will remain in an “onboarding” status until all required enrollment documents, including transcripts, are received and verified.
Conditional Enrollment & Documentation Deadline

Onboarding Status – Students who have paid a deposit but have not yet submitted all required enrollment documents will remain in an onboarding status. During this period, students are not formally enrolled, will not have access to coursework, and cannot participate in clinical training.

Transcript Submission – Students must provide a copy of their final transcript or complete an Ability to Benefit exam before they can be formally enrolled within 14 days of beginning the enrollment process.

Failure to Provide Documentation – Students who fail to provide the required documentation within the specified time frame will not be permitted to continue in the program. Any tuition paid will be refunded 100%.
By enforcing this policy, Accelerated Academy ensures compliance with state regulations and maintains the integrity of its admissions process.
Technology requirement:
Students are required to have a working computer and reliable internet access, and should have basic operating knowledge of a computer. The lecture portion of this course is taught online through the Learning Managements Software, Canvas. Students will review online modules, lectures, course material, and complete all assignments in Canvas. Students have access to all academic records including grades, progress, transcripts, and if successful in the program, their certificate of completion.
Clinical Session Materials:
Students are required to bring either a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to EVERY clinical session in order to complete the weekly clinical session skill check assignment. If the student would like to take any additional notes during a clinical session, they are encouraged to bring a folder, notepad, pen, pencil, or other materials to support the in-person learning experience.

Criminal History:
Criminal history may affect a student’s future ability to be hired in the dental field as every employer has different requirements. Accelerated Academy has the right to refuse enrollment due to criminal history.
