About This Course

Accelerated Academy’s online pharmacy tech program allows you to work at your own pace with 12 weeks to complete the course.  Students will be given immediate access to begin training in all aspects of pharmacy tech.  Our course is PTCB approved meaning you upon sucessful completion of the course you will be qualified to take their national certification exam. It is important to please review your individual state requirements on becoming a Pharmacy Tech to see if this program is right for you.

Tuition Price: Pay in Full: $1,200.00, Payment Plan: $1,500.00

Class Schedule

Week One:  Introduction to Pharmacy/Pharmacy Law and Ethics
Week Two:  Dosage Forms and Routes of Administration/Medical Terminology
Week Three:  Prescription Interpretation and Quiz 1
Week Four:  Community Pharmacy
Week Five:  Hospital Pharmacy and Midterm Exam
Week Six:  Pharmacy Calculations
Week Seven:  Pharmacy Calculations Continued and Pharmacy Calculations Quiz
Week Eight:  Pharmacology: Introduction, Cardiovascular System, Nervous System, and Musculoskeletal System
Week Nine:  Pharmacology: Gastrointestinal System, Endocrine System, Respiratory System, and Dematological System
Week Ten:  Pharmacology: Reproductive System, Renal System, Immune System, and Final Exam Preparation
Week Eleven:  Final Exam and PTCB Exam Prep
Week Twelve:  PTCB Exam Prep and schedule PTCB Exam
***This is just a SUGGESTED Course Schedule. Student have access to the course for a minimum of 12 weeks and can work at their own pace.***

Entrance Requirements

Students will apply online at www.acceleratedacademy.us. Students will work with an admissions representative to ensure they meet the minimum entrance requirements.

The following requirements are necessary to enroll in the pharmacy tech course offered by Accelerated Academy:

Age Requirement: A student must be 17 years of age or older in order to enroll in Accelerated Academy. A student must turn 18 years of age by the completion of the course.

Educational Requirement: A person must have successfully completed high school or have completed a high school equivalency course and provide one of the following at the time of enrollment:

- Copy of High School Diploma or High School Transcript

- Copy of General Educational Development (GED)

- Copy of High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)

Accelerated Academy will not grant any credit for previous education, training, and/or work experience.

Criminal History: Criminal history can hinder a student’s future as a pharmacy technician. Students in most states must submit a Pharmacy Technician Registration Application, which sometimes includes a criminal background check.
